A second Mission Concert featuring Rod Stewart has been announced.

Tickets for Stewart's first concert on November 14th sold out within an hour of going on sale yesterday.

Concert organisers then released details of a second concert - to be held the following day - putting tickets on sale late yesterday.

The two concerts will be Rod Stewart's only North Island performances on his The Hits! world tour, which is a 50-celebration of his career.


A Lotto ticket sold at Waipawa Four Square for last Saturday's draw picked up a share of the games' second division.

In all, 19 players won second division, with each ticket worth $22,221.00.

Three of those tickets, including that of Waipawa Four Square, were from Hawke's Bay.


Tukituki MP Lawrence Yule is inviting farmers to one of three public meetings next Monday.

Mr Yule will be joined by National Party colleague, Todd Muller, who is the Party's spokesperson for Agriculture, Biosecurity, Food Safety and Forestry.

The meetings will discuss water, climate change, gun laws and trade, with the Leopard Hotel in Waipukurau the local meeting at 5.30pm Monday.

Earlier in the day meetings will be held at the Puketapu Hotel and the Chook and Filly at Maraekakaho.
