Central Hawke's Bays representative on the Hawke's Bay Regional Council is encouraging locals to attend tonights meeting on her Councils' draft 10-year plan.

Regional councillors and staff will outline the Facing Our Future Consulation Document at the CHB Municipal Theatre in Waipawa.

Debbie Hewitt says she has a number of concerns with the 10-year plan, with the main one being how CHB has been treated in the process.

She says plans to increase Council debt by $70 million, water storage and reforestation

Mrs Hewitt says she has tried hard to insert some CHB influence, but doesn't think it has been greatly respected.

She says she would like councillors to hear a strong rural voice.

The meeting starts at 6pm and runs until 8pm.
