Firearms extensions granted for COVID delays

The government has passed a new law which grants extensions to existing firearms licence holders whose renewals have been delayed by this year’s COVID-19 lockdown. Precautionary boil water notices remain in place for the Dannevirke and Eketahuna town water supplies. The Tararua District Council issued the notices on Wednesday last week for Dannevirke, and on Friday for Eketahuna.
