A ute overturning on SH2 near the Pekapeka Wetland yesterday afternoon caused long delays for traffic.
Emergency services were called at 3.30pm to the accident.
The overturned vehicle completely blocked the south bound lane of the highway, with traffic disrupted for at least an hour.
Hato Hone St John reported no serious injuries.
Ngati Kahungunu ki Tamaki-nui-a-Rua will host the Ngati Kahungunu Regional Kapa Haka competition this weekend.
13 kapa haka teams will take to the stage at the Dannevirke A & P Showgrounds tomorrow, with the event underway from 8am.
The teams will vie for their chance to compete at Te Matatini later this year. For those unable to attend in person, Maori TV will have a livestream of the event on its website from 8.30 tomorrow morning.

Local Police are investigating following a report of two suspicious people hiding in bushes on Gaisford Terrace in Waipukurau last week.
Senior Constable Andy Walker said a person leaving for work around 4am last Tuesday noticed the pair.
He said several dogs were reported to have been barking at the time.
Mr Walker asked anyone who was around the Racecourse Road, Carpenter Street area between 2.30 and 4am on the 13th, and who may have seen anything, to contact Police.
A man was arrested in Waipukurau last week after being seen riding his bike with a tomahawk in his hand.
Senior Constable Andy Walker said the incident was reported last Thursday afternoon.
Local touch rugby player will play for the Auckland 30s team in the NZ Touch Nationals tournament over the next three days.
The event is being held at Ongley Park in Palmerston North from Friday to Sunday.
