Review: Waipawa M&D - When you wish upon a star

Waipawa M & D presents: “When you wish upon a star”

And indeed, the stars were out, for two hours I was mesmerized.

Taken on a magical voyage through the wonderful timeline of “Disney” It all began 101 years ago in 1923. A very well thought out musical production, well done to not only the Director but Musical Director & Lead in the show “Alanna Cutbush”

A Magical show has been created to suit all ages & a must see for all Disney fans, you are sure to toe tap & sing along. The table décor was very clever & I liked the intimate setting.

Full utilization of the room was a great touch & kept us wondering where the next singer would spring from, Dancers were a standout I enjoyed the costume changes to suit the songs.

A great exploration of the Disney timeline & the Narrators did a fantastic job setting the scene each time taking us down another enchanting lane

The Singers – loved each song I could feel the passion & energy every person had on stage – all songs were well known & even the audience was singing along! Stand out songs for me “Let it Go” & “Circle of Life”

The scene very much a fairytale & the clever lighting provided a pivotal element creating realism & gave the audience a sense of being there in the moment, fantastic outfits & I loved all the small details too!

I was taken down memory lane & loved every moment.
“Laughter is timeless,  Imagination has no age, And dreams are forever”

You will laugh, imagine & dream throughout this very captivating show, recommended for the whole family
