It’s been a winning week for customers of New World Waipukurau.
A Lotto ticket sold for this Wednesday’s draw won a share of second division.
The ticket, worth just over $23,000, was one of eight to win Lotto’s second division.
And a New World Waipukurau customer is the proud owner of a new Mazda CX-30 vehicle.
The vehicle was a prize in a promotion run over April and May in a Coca-Cola and New World Club Card promotion.

Two local companies have been named as finalists in this year’s Export NZ – ASB Hawke’s Bay Export Awards.
Wood Mallets from Otane are a finalist in the Best Emerging Business category, with The True Honey Co. a finalist in the Excellence in Innovation category.
Winners will be named on the 29th of July, with tickets for the awards ceremony at Toi Toi Arts & Event Centre in Hastings now on sale.

Central Hawke’s Bay District Council will run three pop-up events tomorrow for dog owners to microchip and register their pets.
Microchipping is $25 per dog, with EFTPOS available.
The venues are :
- Takapau: 9am - 10am | Outside the Town Hall
- Ongaonga: 10:30am - 11:30am | Outside the Town Hall
- Tikokino: 12pm - 1pm | Outside the Town Hall

HB Super 8 Netball : Both local teams will play at 7.30 tonight at Pettigrew Green Arena. Thirsty Whale Otane play Huia’s, with Central Sports VSHB playing All In Elusive.
Manawatu Rugby : The Dannevirke Seniors are away tomorrow playing Massey; with the Dannevirke Colts playing Massey at Rugby Park Dannevirke at 12.45pm.
Bush Rugby : It is quarterfinals time, with Puketoi playing at home tomorrow against Greytown. That game kicks off at 2.30pm.
Hawke’s Bay Rugby :
Bryan Te Huki from the Aotea Sports Club, and Hamish Carroll, coach of the Leopard Hotel Central Rugby & Sports Colts team, will be on the Centralines Sports Show tomorrow morning ahead of their respective semi-finals this weekend.
