Central Hawke’s Bays Lachie Kirk has finished 5th in his first event at the World Age Group Trampolining Champs in Bulgaria this morning.
The Double Mini Trampoline was Lachie’s first event, and he was up against 40 other competitors.
Lachie will also compete in trampoline and tumbling over the next few days.

Over 900 people were affected by a power outage that affected the Waipukurau, Wanstead and Oueroa areas yesterday.
The power went out just before 12.30pm and was off for about half an hour.
941 customers were affected by the outage.
The Waipukurau Volunteer Fire Brigade was called to power lines arcing at the time however Deputy Fire Chief Glen Millar said no action was required by them as Centralines were in attendance.
A further outage in Waipukurau last night affected 29 customers in the Tutanekai Street, Hinemoa Terrace and Tavistock Road area, with power out for around three hours.
Earlier yesterday Centralines reported an outage affecting coastal areas, with over 300 customers without power for about an hour and a half.
There were strong winds around Central Hawke’s Bay and Tararua District, with a Strong Wind Warning in place from yesterday afternoon until early this morning.
