A shed was badly damaged by fire in Otane yesterday.
Fire and Emergency NZ were called about 4am to a property on Henderson Street.
Firefighters from Otane and Waipawa found the fire well involved when they arrived.
An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze.

The Tararua District Council is asking residents of Dannevirke to use caution near the duck pond at the Lower Domain.
Testing is underway to determine if there is algae on the surface of the pond, and the Council says dogs should be kept away for their own safety.
Meanwhile a swimming warning at Akitio has been removed.
A warning was put in place earlier this month not to swim at Akitio after the water was found to not meet quality standards.

More than $30,000 has been raised so far from a Givealittle page setup after two people from the same family drowned at Whangamata last week.
The Cruickshank family from Takapau were at Opoutere Beach, when a group of them got swept out to sea while swimming last Wednesday.
Ian Cruickshank was pulled from the water, but was unable to be revived, with teenager Samuel swept away.
His body was found on Saturday.
A Givealittle page for the family was setup late last week, and as at this morning, just over $33,000 had been raised.

An oil spill saw the Saddle Road closed for a number of hours last Friday.
Emergency services were alerted to the spill around 2.30am Friday, with the road closed until late morning to allow for clean-up using sand and grit.
Once the road re-opened, a 30km/hr temporary speed limit was in place for most of the remainder of the day.
