CHB Christmas Spirit - 2024 Toy Drive

Please make sure the gifts are new and unwrapped so they can make sure they get given to the appropriate child's parcel. This year they are also taking monetary donations, which they use to buy wrapping paper, cellotape, and additional gifts to top up the donations when needed.

CHB Community Patrols - Volunteers Wanted

Community Patrols Waipukurau are looking for volunteers to help with evening community patrols across Waipukurau & Waipawa.  Patrols usually take 2-2.5 hours, and volunteers patrol in teams of two. Volunteers can expect to be patrolling schools and businesses, checking for insecure buildings, damage and looking out for suspicious activity which is reported directly to local police. Ākitio water restriction to move to Total Outdoor Ban

Every summer, Ākitio has a scheduled water restriction put in place to aid conserving water as increased numbers of summer visitors place additional demand on the Ākitio water supply.

Ākitio will be moving up to a Total Outdoor Ban from 1 December 2024. That means no sprinklers, soak hoses, irrigation systems, no hosing of gardens, no water blasting and no washing of vehicles, buildings or boats.
