Free Youth Functional Fitness Program
42 Mana in conjunction with Sports Hawke's Bay are looking for Rangatahi students in Years 9 - 13 to take part in a fully funded functional fitness program. Students will learn functional fitness fundamentals, mental resilience, tools to enhance spiritual well being, and strengthing family and community connections.

Fire Restrictions
Ahuriri
Heretaunga, Tukituki West, Tukituki East, Southern Hawkes Bay Coast and Porangahau - Restricted
Tararua
West - Open
Tararua Central, Tararua South, Esk-Tutaekuri, Te Haroto, Wairoa Inland and Coast - Restricted.
A restricted fire season means people need a permit to light an open-air fire. You can go to www.checkitsalright.nz to check what fire season you are in and to apply for a permit if needed.
CHB Water Restrictions
As of Thursday 12th December all of Central Hawk'es Bay is on Level 3 water restrictions.
HAND-HELD HOSES ONLY ON ALTERNATE DAYS
Watering gardens
Odds and evens apply, so odd numbered houses can use hand-held hoses on odd date days of the month and even numbered houses can use hand-held hoses on even date days of the month.
Sprinklers are NOT permitted at any time.
Hoses fitted with a trigger nozzle can be used before 10 am and after 4 pm but cannot be left running unattended.
Watering cans and buckets are permitted.
Washing of vehicles and/or buildings
Washing of vehicles and/or buildings is permitted only with a bucket and sponge, or at a commercial carwash.
Swimming pools
Residents are permitted to top-up a pool or spa using a hose fitted with a trigger nozzle, watering can or bucket for a maximum of 15 minutes per day.
Hard surfaces
Hosing of hard surfaces as part of general cleaning is NOT permitted. Spot cleaning for health, safety or emergency reasons only is permitted.

CHB Community Patrols - Volunteers Wanted
Community Patrols Waipukurau are looking for volunteers to help with evening community patrols across Waipukurau & Waipawa. Patrols usually take 2-2.5 hours, and volunteers patrol in teams of two. Volunteers can expect to be patrolling schools and businesses, checking for insecure buildings, damage and looking out for suspicious activity which is reported directly to local police.
