A man is in Hawke's Bay Hospital after being hit by a motor vehicle in Waipawa last week. Sergeant Neil Baker said Police were called to the incident at approximately 6.30pm last Thursday. Both local Councils’ have been successful in receiving money from the Government’s Infrastructure Acceleration Fund. One person was taken to Palmerston North Hospital following a motor vehicle accident in Dannevirke yesterday morning. The crash happened just before 8am on SH2 near the turnoff to Rawhiti Street. COVID-19 cases remained steady in Central Hawke’s Bay last week. In the five days to last Friday, there were 46 active cases in the district, which is similar to the previous three weeks.
